* Booking times are daily between 08:00 and midnight (music must finish by 23:00).
* Unfortunately we can no longer accommodate 16th, 18th or 21st birthday parties for non-residents of Ditchling.

Please use the form below to send us a booking enquiry for the Barn and/or Green for your event – this is an enquiry about availability, not a definite booking. If you succeed in sending your booking enquiry, you will receive an immediate auto-response email. If you don’t get one, please check all required details have been filled and try again. An auto-response does not mean your booking is confirmed, we will email you to confirm. Alternatively, send all the details to us by email to info@friendsofditchling.co.uk. We respond to every email, normally within about 3-5 days, so if you don’t see our email, please check your spam folder!

BarnBarn & Marquee We restrict the number of marquees over spring-early autumm, and don't allow them late autumn-winter. Barn booking includes use of the sunken garden on the east side and, by arrangment, use of the main green too.

1-3031-8081-100101-200200+ The Barn holds approx. 80 people comfortably standing (with small dance area) or 60-70 seated. Over 80 people may require gazebos or a marquee and hire of additional toilets.

Alcohol served

If you are selling alcohol, you must apply to Lewes District Council for a TEN licence.

Music played

All music must be played at a reasonable volume, and must finish by 23:00 at the latest.

Crockery hire

Add £50. Provides access to 70 sets of crockery, cutlery & glasses (champagne, wine, tumbler & pint). The main hire price includes use of 70 sets of cups, saucers and side plates, a hot water urn, large milk jugs, sugar bowls and thermos serving jugs. You must wash up yourselves, we have no dishwasher!
